Eye Exams

We pride ourselves on one of the most comprehensive eye exams you'll find.  Examinations are available on site Mondays through Saturdays. Eye exams are recommended once a year for children under the age of 18 years of age and once every two years for adults.  Routine eye exams are an essential part of a healthy body and are covered through the Manitoba Government for children 18 and under, and for seniors 65 and over there is a fee of $20 for this age group.  Eye exams can detect diseases such as Glaucoma, Diabetes, Macular Degeneration, hypertension, Multiple Sclerosis and a variety of other disorders. ****– As of June 2015 we have purchased a Zeiss Cirrus 600 Photo/OCT machine which aids our doctors in early detections of Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma and Diabetic Haemorrhages through High Resolution Imagery. Along side this cutting edge photography, we have added a Zeiss Humphreys Field Analyzer II – i series to perform comprehensive Visual Field Exams – MPIC forms & claims are welcome. Learning difficulty or short attention span can be caused by poor vision, please have your child checked on a regular basis, beginning as young as two years of age.

Lenses

Scratch coated lenses are available with a one-year warranty against scratches due to normal wear. We use brands like Crizal by Essilor and Orma True Tints because quality matters.
Anti-Reflective coated lenses must be of the highest clarity to not only the people looking at you, but also to offer you, the patient, clearer vision at the computer and at night. For this reason, we carry Crizal AR, UTMC and Nikon AR. Anything else just doesn't compare. And why settle for anything less than a two-year warranty against peeling, crazing, fogging or scratching?

The Progressive Bifocal is available in several materials and coating options. Different prescriptions require different lens types. There are over 500 types of progressive lenses available in the market today. You can now choose from regular molded lenses, to the high definition, digitally enhanced lenses. You can also choose the first ever custom designed, Ipseo lens that takes individual measurements of your eye movements. Why not choose what's best for your eyes? At our office, we believe in progressives made by industry leaders like Essilor, Zeiss, Nikon, and Rodenstock.

Find out if the Varilux Ipseo, Physio, Physio 360, Gradal Top 2 or Nikon i is right for you.
